Our youngest son worked in a summer camp for most off the season as kitchen staff and in other areas. On top of the "surfer-look" (tan and lightened hair) he brought home dirty laundry every weekend ;o). During the last week their group went to a "tree-go", an aerial adventure course. Nature is beautiful, tree sap on light shorts (staff clothing) not so much. Thanks to Pinterest I found a solution, one of these tips seemed promising (peanut butter is supposed to work too, but he already had enough grease stains in his clothes). It took me about a week before I was brave enough to tackle the stains. Our daughter still had an untouched small hand sanitizing gel from a recent trip- normally we only use soap around here, because everyone has sensitive skin. Simply rub the gel in the stain (you might want to carefully scratch off thicker blobs), let it sit for a little and throw it in with your regular laundry.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue - does this really work??? Who would have thought. I will definitely remember this since we have lots of pine trees here in south Florida - we are always getting pine tar on our clothes. Thanks for the hint (and for sticking with me while I have been AWOL so much this summer!)

Hi Carol, it worked great for his shorts, I could feel it dissolving while I rubbed it in.

LG Thea
